During his Autumn Statement speech Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, announced that the government will move to a ‘single major fiscal event each year’.

This means that the Budget due to be held on Wednesday 8th March will be the final Budget to take place in the Spring with subsequent Budgets taking place in the Autumn.
