50 years of LeasePlan

LeasePlan saw in its 50th birthday this month, and what a half-a-century it’s been for the fleet and vehicle management industry!

Back in 1963 when the Beatle’s topped the charts with ‘I want to hold your hand’, LeasePlan was founded in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.  Since then, there have been key developments that have shaped the landscape of the industry, such as changing tax policies, technological advances, and environmental concerns.

In fact, how did we gather valuable, fleet efficiency data back when computers filled a whole room?

Over the last 50 years, the industry has had to constantly adapt to government targets and tax policies. Who knows what 2014 will bring?

Actually, We do.

Here’s a toast to the industry’s resourcefulness seeing us through the next 50 years, and beyond.
